As
HoosierKitty and I drove down the highway, she slowed the car so that I could get pictures of what appeared to be a lake ...

... but was actually the flood.

Luckily, the water was receding where we were, and the road was almost clear.

And when we got to the Brown County Historical Society Quilt Show, there was no sign of flood waters.

This used to be a bowling alley but is now a museum space, filled for the day with quilts and music.

Dad's classical guitar group provided some lovely music.

HoosierKitty is the person you want to have as your guide at a quilt show. We saw all sorts of quilts, antique and new, decorative and functional, with patterns ranging from Border Collies ...

... to Buckyballs.

We saw graphic patterns ...

... brilliant colors ...

... gorgeous designs ...

... and glittering beading.

And of course, some kitties.

We went to this show last year. It was gorgeous. The quilts were so beautiful they made me want to start quilting. And the music was a very nice touch.
