This evening we played board games. Here is David winning Bethump'd With Words by identifying a double homophone. He had to come up with two words that sound the same, one meaning "loud eager cry of approval" and the other "physiological adjustment of an organism to its environment".
Here is David performing the spectacular feat of winning Wit's End with only one turn. The game-winning question this time was: "Freud is to Jung as Aristotle is to?" Yes, it was completely unfair that he got a classics question! But I'll let him enjoy this triumph, because next time I will defeat him.Answers:
1. acclamation/acclimation
2. Alexander the Great

Way to go, David! Sean had a triumph of his own this afternoon. He snuck downstairs and took a nap while I thought he was outside raking leaves!
Remind me not to play "Bethumped" with David!
